What Is Mission Control?
Mission Control is your unified command center — a split-pane interface with your email inbox on the left and all TridentInbox tools on the right. It's designed for power users who want to manage email without switching between pages.
The Inbox Panel (Left Side)
The left panel shows your complete email list with:
- Search: Full-text search across all emails by subject, sender, or content
- Category Filters: Filter by Mission Critical, Intel Briefs, Incoming Fire, Comms, etc.
- Read/Unread Toggle: Focus on unread emails or see everything
- Account Filter: If you have multiple accounts, filter by specific account
- Multi-Select: Check multiple emails for bulk actions
- Email Preview: Click any email to see the full thread with message bodies
The Tools Panel (Right Side)
The right panel has five tabs:
Scribe Tab
AI-powered email drafting that's context-aware. When you select an email, Scribe automatically populates the reply context. Choose a template, set the tone, and generate a professional response in seconds. Features include:- 24 email templates across 5 categories
- 8 tone options (Professional, Friendly, Formal, etc.)
- Copy to clipboard or send directly via Gmail/Outlook
- Optional read receipt tracking on sent emails
Strike Tab
Bulk actions on selected emails:- Archive selected emails
- Move to trash
- Mark as read/unread
- Apply labels
Sort Tab
AI-powered categorization:- Automatically classify selected emails into categories
- Re-categorize misclassified emails
- View category distribution
Sweep Tab
Subscription management:- Identify mailing list emails in your selection
- One-click unsubscribe
- Block persistent senders
Shield Tab
Sender screening:- View sender reputation for selected emails
- Add to allowlist or denylist
- Screen unknown senders
Thread View
When you click an email, the preview expands to show the full conversation thread. Each message in the thread is collapsible, showing sender, timestamp, and full body text. This gives you complete context before drafting a reply.
Mobile Experience
On mobile devices, Mission Control switches to a tabbed view — tap "Inbox" or "Tools" to switch between panels. In landscape orientation, the split-pane layout is preserved for tablets and large phones.
Keyboard Tips
Use the search bar to quickly find emails, then use the checkbox to select multiple emails for bulk operations. The tools panel updates contextually based on your selection.
