Identify and unsubscribe from mailing lists you no longer read. Clear the noise in one sweep.

What Is Trident Sweep?

Trident Sweep scans your inbox to identify all mailing list subscriptions, then lets you unsubscribe from unwanted ones in bulk. It's the fastest way to reduce your daily email volume.

How It Works

  • Navigate to Trident Sweep from the sidebar
  • Sweep scans your emails for unsubscribe links and mailing list headers
  • You see a list of all subscriptions with:
    • - Sender name and email - Frequency (daily, weekly, monthly) - Last received date - Total emails received
  • Check the subscriptions you want to remove
  • Click "Sweep" to unsubscribe from all selected

    • The Keep/Remove Decision

    For each subscription, ask yourself:

    • Have I read any of the last 5 emails from this sender?
    • Does this content directly help my work or life?
    • Would I notice if these emails stopped coming?
    If the answer to all three is "no," unsubscribe.

    What Happens After Unsubscribing

    • The unsubscribe request is sent to the mailing list
    • Most lists process the request within 24-48 hours
    • Some lists take up to 10 business days (CAN-SPAM compliance)
    • If emails continue after 10 days, use Trident Shield to block the sender

    Prevention

    After your initial sweep, maintain hygiene by:

    • Running Sweep monthly to catch new subscriptions
    • Using a separate email for online purchases and free trials
    • Setting up Patrol rules to auto-archive newsletter categories
